Wearing a delicata squash skirt with that knowing smile. Made me laugh. Grew a couple hundred in the school garden where I work and were quite popular with the kids. Will appreciate the squash so much more now and look for that material to make my own skirt.

Hi,

I am currently working on a flyer for a farmers market tour and I was wondering if it would be okay to use one of your photos from the corvallis farmers market.

Great website,
Katy

Thank you so much for these inspiring, reflective writings about our beloved valley. They renew my love for this place, this land, and the people who preserve it!

Hello. I am working on nature signage for the trails system at Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve in Hillsboro. I would love to use your photo of camas bulbs on the camas sign. Would you grant me permission to do so?

I once saw the beauty in Oregon. I live on a creek in Southern Oregon. When we bought our home 30 years ago, it was the most wonderful place to live. As the years passed, we have seen the riparian devegated, graded and filled. I have seen blue chemical spraying in the riparian and wildlife animals die on my property - birds nose diving into the hillside from poison. I had to get rid of the poor small bodies. When I complained - nobody listened. It isn't fair that what was once so grand has turned into sadness. They want to put a cemetery in up to the riparian setback, which is at the creeks edge as when the roped it off, they started counting frm the center of the creek or some other place. By the way, our city wellheads next to the new cemetery. I have cried for two years and went to two county appeals and two LUBA appeals. LUBA affirmed while at the same time, posted to the internet were the wetland violations. I used to love living here. Now I see the clear cut forests by the freeway, not one fish in our creek. I only hope that someday I can move away from a place that was once so beautiful. Thanks to people who care - like your organization - is there any hope at all.
